The Team
Our team, Team Invicta, is made up of three teenagers, twin brother and sister, Oliver and Emma, and their friend, Carlos. We all went to the same primary school, and reunited to take part in this year's First Lego League challenge, after splitting at the secondary transition.
Underneath is a quick summary of all our three team members.
Emma English: The only girl in the team and her first year competing, she's learnt a lot about engineering, but her strengths lie in the presentation and humanities.
Carlos Purchase Galarza: The brains behind the robot, and an engineering genius! An experienced FLL competitor who has been competing for three years.
Oli English: An all rounder with a flair for graphic design and aesthetics! Also on his third year of competing and described at the nationals as a 'bit of a dude'.
Emma- " It is my first year competing in FLL and I can't describe how excited I am to be representing the UK at such a huge event! "
Carlos- "It is going to be an amazing experience meeting teams from all around the world and having fun together! "
Oli- " It has been a thrilling journey for me, being my third year competing it is an amazing feeling to finally achieve our dream."
